Meet the Owner
By Kris Funk. Marine Corps Veteran.
I was born and raised right here in Massachusetts. A New England native who left and came back. As a young man, I would mow my parent's lawn and other lawns in the neighborhood for summer money. It was the first job I ever had. Although I tried my hands at others, I always came right back to landscaping. In high school, I worked for a local landscape company while managing my additional lawns afterward. The man I worked for made landscaping an easy career choice. I hope to someday grow this business into a very similar version of his.
In 2013, two years post-high school and after two years of being a full-time landscape employee, I joined the Marine Corps. This was something I always wanted to accomplish and something at the time I needed. With no intentions of making a career, I wanted to serve this country. After 8 years, multiple duty stations, and many many nights spent away from my wife and children I decided it was time to move on. So we sold our home, packed up the kids and moved back to Massachusetts.
We are now close to family and friends, and able to provide a life for our children similar to what we had. I spend my free time now coaching youth sports and continuing to play sports of my own. Sports were a major part of my life and I believe they teach lessons to children they otherwise could not learn. I've had several coaches in my life that guided me on and off the ice/field and I hope to someday do the same.
